    #8699092 - 07/29/08 07:30 PM (16 years, 5 months ago)

I just ordered some P. Cubensis B+ spores and i am planning growing them on cakes. I was wondering if anyone knew how much shrooms i would get from the cakes. im going to set up about 12 cakes in all

if you are seriously lucky, a quarter oz dry per cake first flush, but i seriously even doubt that, some may argue, some may agree, i'd say spawn it to coir, and do tubs, to get the yields i believe you are looking for.

jettered right...from what ive read if you want any substantial type of weight, like beside a headstash for yourself and a couple friends, youll definitely need to try another tek beside the PF BRF cake tek...ive read of dudes adding birdseed to their BRF+Verm mixes and they said this helped potency and yield, more "food"/nutrients for the mushrooms, but if you do anything beside the PF tek with BRF and verm you'll NEED TO PRESSURE COOK for sterilization

"easy" grain tek:

some people say casing helps...some people have different casing recipes that are supposed to add "food"/nutrients for the mycellium, search "casing mix" or something like that

No, No, I got 30 pounds off of three grows. LMAO

:rofl2:

No seriously, as most of the posts have said, 3-7 grams dry is a decent number to expect per cake.

That is if everything was "Right"

Good Luck Bro

I wouldn't case them if it's your first time growing...which it appears to be. :smirk:

FAQs for cakes say to usually expect 3-7 dry grams per cake if done correctly.

Good luck! :mushroom2:

If you case them you'll probably double what you'd get just growing from cakes alone. Anyway, 3-5grams dried is average per cake.

Most definitely.
Quite a few 1/2-1/4 inch holes drilled in every side. If you look at the RR videos you will see.
I prefer not to add holes in the bottom side, or on the bottom on the sides so that more humidity travels upwards.

Just remember the less holes, the more fanning.
