fanning options
    #8700060 - 07/29/08 11:15 PM (16 years, 5 months ago)

is the mini handheld fan a good method? my other idea is since my terrarium is a couple feet from my register, could i run a small tube (like fish pump tubeing) from a slot in my register to the terr? i would place a coffe filter for contam reasons over the end, and i would use just one slot of the vent instead of tapeing it off so it dosent all go into the terr like a tornado.    idealy i think it would work. the only concern would be is, would it still maintain humidity? also with the mini fan how does that fair up with keeping the humidity?

The register idea wont work cause barely any air would get in that small diameter of tubing.  Coffee filters are good dust covers, thats about it.  The mini fan would work, but why not just fan with the lid?  As far as keeping the humidity up as long as you have at least 5 inches of moist perlite and dont open the fc a whole bunch your rh should be fine.
