Tripping Cats

Hey all, just wondering if anyone has ever fed their cat any psychedellics. I was thinking about feeding my cat a little chunk, like the size of a cat treat to him. Maybe like and 1/8 of a gram or something, next time I shroom at home. I don't know if he likes to trip yet though. Will it even affect him? If he even eats it.... I'm not sure if it's a good idea though, at least for this cat, because he is really paranoid already, and he's definately not friendly to most. I don't want to bug him out for life. But if he likes it, he likes it, and he gets the aborts. He doesn't like to smoke, but he eats cooked weed, and even raw weed if I leave the room. Furry thief he is... So it's up to you guys. Yay or nay? Of course, I won't be shroomin again for like 2 months though till it's harvest time. But if you guys think it would be cool... Then I'll tell you what happened when it happens. Has anyone's cat tried it, intentionally or unintentionally?

I know someone who gave one of the stray cats 14 hits of what he thought was weak acid. Whe it started tripping it attacked one of his friends for like 2 secondes then ran out the front door and he never saw it again. I wouldnt give your cat acid/shrooms if I were you. I'm sure he wont eat the mushrooms. my friend gave his pug like half a gram of shrooms inside an oreo, not sure if it did anything but make him feel good.

cats are happy enough in their normal state of mind. no sense in possibly giving it a psychological problem.

My cat has tripped himself out on catnip before. Personally I think this would probably do more to cats than shrooms and stuff would. It was sitting on my floor, cause I'd been using it as a herbal blend for marijuana. I turned around and my cat was munching away at it, and there was at least a joints-worth missing from my pile. Pretty soon after that, he started acting REALLY fucked up, it was fucking hilarious. When he started acting weird, I decided to get stoned and play with him. After I'd had my cone, I loaded a cone of catnip (may have been a little bit of weed in the bottom too) this was in a bong so I would fill the chamber with smoke, then aim the tube at him and blow through the rush hole. He didn't like the first toke (scrunched up his face and walked away) but after that he didn't mind. Gave him about 3-4 hits in total. I sat there tripping out with my cat for about an hour, and he was doing the weirdest stuff. Like I was holding a CD and shining the reflection on the wall. He was intensley focused on this to the point I could make him run round in circles (though this isnt that unusual for cats) but then, when I took the CD away, he kept running around and trying to climb up the walls and stuff (my cat is usually pretty dosile) I can't really remember what else he was doing cause this was about a year ago, but I do remember thinking that it was just like he was intensley tripping out. And ever since then, he has always come into my room and often snoops through my bags and stuff looking for my catnip stash (then I showed him where the plant was and he was always hanging out by that eating it etc. until we moved away from that place). So, if you want to trip with your cat, I would suggest that you take some 'human' hallucinogens, and offer (but don't force) your cat some catnip (mine likes it dried and crumbled) with flowers mixed in (catnip flowers that is) and I think you will both have a great time. And just incase you were thinking, gosh, what have you done, Peace_Patrol? You turned your cat into a drug addict! Well I admit he was getting pretty addicted (though I don't see a problem with that, he was havin fun!) but there are no catnip plants at my new place, so he is now officially off the 'junk', and has now taken up habitual masturbation in place of his addiction (and no, I did not teach him that one!) Fuck, yet another long ramble.

What the hell is wrong with you? I hope your cat puts datura in your breakfast.

I have a cat that naturally? loves mushrooms (the kind from the grocery store). But she can smell the Good kind so we have to keep them hidden or she would certainly eat them.
Make both of you happy: burn some palo santo. It is my favorite incense and also is like catnip for cats. You can find it here if nowhere else: www.mazatecgarden.com
Just light it, blow it out and enjoy!

Ok, so I'm not going to give him any, he is happy enough, and I wouldn't give a human something that they didn't know would make them trip, so why my best bud? But it doesn't make me a sick fuck for wondering what would happen. Scientists intentionally feed all kinds of animals various drugs till they die to find the LD50, now that's sick. Why do they even want to know the LD50 if no one is supposed to do them. Ok, someone doesn't have to feed their cat to see what would happen. Anyone have a outdoor cat in south florida? Outdoor cats eat stuff in the woods all the time. I would find it hard to believe if no one's pet cat has eaten them in the wild before, and come inside, possibly without you even knowing. But yeah, he is definately capable of opening a terrarium if he really wanted to. Point taken.

Hey man, good to see you aren't gonna force your cat anything But I don't think people had to really get that shitty at you. I mean at least you asked here for some opinions. And who knows, your cat could have had an awesome time! But yeah, your best bet is to just go with the catnip the shrooms might fuck it up a little. (I have known cats to run away for like 3 days after their owners try to get them stoned. So imagine what a bad trip could do to it!) But I don't think you are a sick fuck for wondering what would happen, I find it an interesting question myself. I bet they have done studies on animals with psilocybin before. I wouldn't mind reading some findings.

Do you think it would be a good idea to give my pet bird a cocaine enema? I really love them and I want my Parakeet to experience it with me.

if i were you, i would put some shrooms and mik inside a pot and simmer for about 15 minutes, then i would put it in a blender , leave it alone until the milk cooled to room temp (dont put in the fridge!). finaly strain it and feed it to the cat. PS i hate cats.

I've always wanted to give my cat weed..haven't had the heart to do it yet.
I'm also considering giving some to my dog. She's old, and dying, and has arthritis. I'm sure it would help her. Would that be acceptable?

yeah man, just lightly blow your hits into the animal's direction. they get enough just by breathing in your second hand. you'll know right away if they like it or not.

Heh...we had a batch of special muffins sitting out to cool when our one dog got to 'em w/o our knowing it. Ate about a 1/2-oz. in one sitting...this in an 80-lb. dog...was gone for days...still acts a little brain damaged. Probably should consider this to be a data point at the far right end of the bell curve...

My friend has an old pug with caterax and he started smoking him up a year or 2 ago. Now that dog is a stoner. He likes to get hot boxed with us. you say "zipper wanna smoke some pot?" and he gets all exited and comes to sit next to whoever has the pipe. His caterax is actually going away now, but its not completely gone yet. That dog sleeps a lot.

My friend has a Jack Russell Terrier (small dog) that he smokes out everyonce in a while. He likes it, but he gets really horny everytime. He usually goes and humps a stuffed animal for like an hour. One time though, my leg was the unlucky object of his attraction. This one time when we were smoking with him, he was laying in the middle of a blanket, so we all grabbed a corner and bounced him like he was on a trampoline. He loved it.

cats love to trip for the most part... fuck, catnip is like datura, and cats love that shit. they also seem to like weed even more than dogs do. i've never met a shroomed-out cat, but i have seen a cat on acid, and it looked like it was having a seriously good trip. syd barrett, the singer/lead guitarist for early pink floyd, had two cats named "pink" and "floyd". needless to say, they also dropped lots of acid (probably not as much as syd's five times a day though!) why do you think medieval witches are always associated with cats? cats are fucked up magical animals... if i ever have a cat, i will at least smoke it up.. btw my friend's dad's dog smokes hash every day and is an alcoholic! if he doesnt get his daily booze, he tries to spill people's beers on the floor, etc. he even takes shots..

I had a cat one time and I lived at a party house we partied all the time . Everyone Smoked the cat up all the time and its health went to absolute shit..the cat stopped eating and it hid under our couch a lot until one day it died. So the thing is smoking your cat up is a bad idea and letting it trip is even worse the cat has no way of knowing whats going on I mean if you give some one a drug and they dont know what it is its going to freak them out because they dont know whta they are experiencing. LEVAE THE POOR ANIMALS ALONE YOU AMINALS LET THEM LIVE OUT THEIR PEACEFUL HAPPY EXISTENCE THEY HAVE EARNED IN PEACE...The animals must have had to lead a fairly productive life to be rewarded of the experience of being a house pet.
