I would have to agree, Phred.

But for different reasons. (You knew there had to be a catch, right? :smile: )

IMO the next few years will be the most challenging period in American history since the Great Depression and WWII. It does not have to be a complete disaster and the next president will not be the cause but rather the inheritor of decades of deferred decisions and pandering by the political class combined with a loss of civic virtue throughout the nation.

These things are the natural end result of decades of prosperity without sacrifice. The damage has already been done internally- it is just now bleeding out to the surface for everyone to see.

History is cyclical and the wheel will be dipping to its lowest point soon..

So I ask you, "Do great leaders make history or does history make great leaders?"

Can a democrat ever make a good president?

Has there ever been a democratic president who receives a passing grade from you?
