Checking the jars shouldn't be a problem, as long as it's not prolonged exposure.

I have started using WBS to make flower instead of BRF. It dose give more nutes than BRF. Much cheaper than rice. I get 40 lb. bags at Lowe's for something like $7.
Cakes are fun but bulk gives you a much better yield.

its FAE and it means Fresh Air Exchange
your mushrooms will need plenty of fresh air. CO2 can collect and that is not good for the mushrooms. so basically the exchange of air with fresh air. that's basically what it is.

Are you throwing the WBS into a grinder to make the flour or am I misunderstanding what you said?

I can try to help on this one. I believe he means as a substrate in general, WBS has more nutrients to supply then Brown Rice. I am sure you can do the same thing just get some WBS, and use it in place of BR, I don't see why it would be harder. Maybe harder on your grinder. I don't know if there is a TEK but this is your chance to turn the mycology world upside down with a new TEK for massive caps on cakes. I would suggest just trying a WBS tek. I have done both, and would give my nod to WBS although I have experienced good success with both.
Hope I helped .

AS far as the cake question PLEASE click the link in my Sig,than follow it to the other link I post,PLEASE.
No one on earth should ever have to make BRF unless they live on a planet where owning a pressure cooker carries the death penalty

O,by the way, potency is not the reason. The reason is yield for work put in,potency is more or less completely genetic

No, no, no. You should fan your FC with the lid to your FC at least 3-4 times per day. More if you can. Just enough to fan out the air that's in the FC and exchange it for fresh.
Some people have different ideas on how much fanning and for how long. I do about 15 seconds worth 6+ times per day, along with misting.
It really sounds like you should have done a lot more reading before you got started.

You make a good point, lucky enough for me I only attempted BRF cakes once. Sadly it had just cased them by the time a found/read your siggy link and after it was all said in done was exactly that waste of time/effort. I'd have to say everyone needs to try it once, but only once because BRF cakes hardly fail if you're sanitary and have good spores. Then once you taste success you can elevate it that much more with WBS, etc.
I'd try to help your cause and put the link in my signature but you make it around enough for more then enough people to see it.
Anyways I guess this thread is done, sorry for being a post whore.
