can anyone help me with this and tell me if thats whole oyster shell? thats the only thing i found in the bird store and they sell it like that(unpacked with no name).

you're in luck, cuttle bones are primarily calcium carbonate, just
like oyster shells, it's suitable as a buffer, you can scrape or
grind off what you need, and use the remainder for casting jewelry

plus in that form it'll act faster than oyster shells
