Two weeks since inoculation...

I inoculated 10 horse manure jars 13 days ago, about 1cc per jar (Had a 10 cc syringe and 10 jars).
I checked at 7 days, then today at 14 days and there is NO Colonization what-so-ever.
Should I just be more patient? Or chalk this up to a loss? I'm kinda pissed, because Spore Store took forever to get the supplies to me and I can already guess that a refund/replacement will be out of the question.
Any ideas/suggestions?

2 problems
1. You ordered from Spore Store! Use Sponsor. 2. You inoculated shit. You should of 'nocced up some grain.

WTF....Innoculating h-poo with spores???????
Buy some organic rye berries and follow correct pasteurization procedure.... inoculate, then when the jars are fully colonized you can work with bulk substrate.
Again, follow a decent tek that involves bulk substrates.
Read up on some teks on the shroomery, take extensives notes, ask questions to clarify things.
Try ordering from Ralphster's or The Hawk's Eye for spores. They are sponsors for a reason.
Keep your operation stringently clean. One thing that is useful is a dilute bleach solution in a spray bottle. Spray walls floors everything everyday would probably prevent any contamination. When pins are forming you can cut down on bleaching, as you will then expose the substrate to open air. Air exchange is one major factor in pinning. You can research casings, as an even pinset will encourage better yield. Casings are not necessary and maybe it's better just to get something under your belt first.
Bleach BREAKS DOWN into salt after a few days in the water and will no longer help prevent contamination.
Don't wear shoes or dirty clothes in the room in question.
Consider bathing before ever going into the room. Use gloves and always flame sterilize inoculation needles.
Make sure grain used for spawn and all bulk substrates are at correct field capacity (moisture content is very important i.e. h-poo should be light and FLUFFY at proper moisture content maybe letting out 2 drops of water when you squeeze it. I have used fans and a big fold out table to accomplish this.
Read and research as much as possible. If you do follow a good tek correctly you will have results as long as you keep everything ridiculously clean.
Good Luck and Be Safe!

Lookup some rye grain inoculation teks.
Bob's Red Mill sells some good organic rye berries.
I am no mushroom guru, but I have had success in the past.
If you have any specific questions about innoculating rye berries correctly that you couldn't find answers to in a tek PM me and I will answer them.
If I don't have the answer I'll let you know that and it shouldn't be hard to find someone more knowledgeable who does.

Everyone is right. I'm going to try the rye bags next time, but someone told me it was harder for a first-time grow than jars.
I didn't see that any of the forum sponsors accept PayPal, which is a prerequisite since all of the spare money I make in a month goes there by default. After searching the forum and reading a few posts I can see why...
These jars looked pretty bad when I got them. Supposedly "Pre-Sterilized", there was horse shit oozing out of the medical gauze they used as an injection port. Shoulda been indicator #1, but I admit, I am a dumbass sometimes.
I would rather just buy my shrooms from someone else, but all of my contacts seem to have went the way of the dinosaur so I figured I'd *try* to grow them. Took me 2 @#%&ing months to save enough in PayPal for that shit (quite literally).
Ah well. Maybe I'll try again in a couple of months.

I've used corn but I have found that rye berries make much more rhizomorphic mycelium... Corn spawn stalls out.
