colonization times
    #8683714 - 07/26/08 10:47 AM (16 years, 5 months ago)

I was wondering what some average colonization times are because I will be leaving for a trip and I want to plan it so my jars are fully colonized when I return. (Im doing BRF and Verm jars)
Thanks Jake

As short as 10 days if you got the moisture right I think.

word its gonna be like 10 to 20 days,, just dunk and roll when you get back and any loss of water content should be replaced

Back the tape up.  I need it again!

I've had them done in 10 days. I also have some that are taking over 2 months. I think most people would have tossed them, but they are almost done now. Fuck it.

I did 3 different runs for my grows.. all @ 79F for 1/2 pints
B+ spores w/BRF Cakes = 4 weeks.
F+ Liquid culture BRF Cake = 16 days.
F+ Spores BRF Cake = 20 days
Golden Teacher Spores BRF Cake = 27 days.
Cambodian Spores BRF Cakes = 12 days

The F+ and Cambos are very fast colonizers from my experience.  Cambos are my favs!!

About 3 weeks in my experience - even if they look fully colonized, you still need to give them 3-4 days to allow the mycellium to consolidate the substrate.
