Inoculation Q

planning on inoculating 4-5 jars(regular jelly jars) i dont think they are 1/2 pints...but i ordered B+ from Sporeworks and was wondering how many CCs would come in a syringe and how I should divide up the spores? I would like to have a quick mycelium growth and am perfectly fine with overkill :P also... confused about the ratios and how much substrate to add to each jar, as well as water. im using BRF and verm. thankyou

if you dont mind overkill put in 8cc's 2 for each hole, or half a cc in each hole because you will want a few brf cakes to make it worth your while

WHAATT???????
He more than likely has 4 oz jelly jars.
These can be used. Your syringe will be 10cc's
I would recommend using 0.5cc's per jar.
If they are pint sized jelly jars do 1cc per jar.
.25 per hole.
8cc's per jar and you might as well throw em out the window as soon as you inoculate.
8cc's will leave you with a sloppy mess void of myc!
Why would you give this kind of advice?

Someone actually said: "some 1 told me to try long brown rice and water and vermiculite and pressure cook for 1 hour i did but nothing happen that is y was wonting to no if i need spores ""

ya,dont use 8cc's...ive never heard of using 8cc's for anything, let alone 4oz jars...you really do need to read up alittle bit,it will be worth your while.First of all do a search and print out the pf tek here on the shroomery and then find out for sure what size your jars are or buy 1/2 pints...

i just got B+ from sporeworks and a little goes a long way they got good syringes, so .25cc or .5cc should do it nicely...GOOD LUCK!!!

yeah i've been reading up more than just a little bit :P but havent found really a good ratio for brf cakes using my size of jars, bad part is they dont say the size. all i can say is they are "jelly jars". im assuming they are 4oz. not having luck find a good verm/brf ratios

I've used 2cc's for 1/2 pint jars, and although they colonized pretty fast (around 2 weeks), it didn't seem all that much faster than the people who used half that amount. I would say use at most 1cc/jar and save the rest for your next batch. Saves money that way.
The spore syringes that I have ordered typically come in 10cc's.

just use the measurements they have for the 1/2 pints and mix it all at once and make more than enough...for example...if you were using 1/2 pints, the ratio is 1/8 cup flour,1/2-2/3 a cup verm and 40-45cc's water..just mix enough for say..4 1/2 pint jars and youll have enough...or you can do the math if you can figure out how much your jars hold...
