Petco has "Hay"....

Timothy Hay-Kob is what its called... Ill go their and read what it is but Im wondering, since Petco is nation wide (for the most part) has anyone got any experience using this stuff...?

They also have "Alfalfa Alfa-Bits" which is alfalfa hay... Anyone know it alfalfa hay can be used instead?

As the saying goes, hay is for eaten on, straw is for sleepin on.

Seriously, hay is greenish and found in smaller bundles, straw is straw colored, that is golden tan.

>straw has less nutritional value as well.
so hay has more.
which is why hay has this reputation for "always contam'ing".
works fine for me, as long as you make sure of lots of innoculation points, eg use lots of spawn, or use "small" spawn, eg millet.
