To toss, or not to toss **UPDATE w/ PICS**
    #8688597 - 07/27/08 02:39 PM (16 years, 5 months ago)

Well I had a few cakes sitting in my greenhouse for the past 2 weeks, (* cakes that colonized late & weren't crumbled & spawned*)

After 2 weeks I figured they would never pin. I was going to toss them tonight & wouldn't you know it, I just went to fill the cool mist, PINS!!!!!!

About 10-20 per cake. They are very tiny but still pins.

I guess I shouldn't have given up on them.

Good Vibes from here on out.  LOL

There's a fatty pin!  Good thing you waited a little bit longer.

I swear, I was going to throw them out that night.

I looked at my notes, and it took them 18 days to pin.

I don't know what took them so long to show?

my first cake ever birthed one good sized shroom, the stem was tiny and the cap was huge, all i was where small pins, and then I turned it around and jumped at the size of the cap.

then it sat dormant, had some aborts. people told me to dunk it, and that helped ALOT. I was about to chuck it, i didnt want it to rot and send mold spores, but it just needed more humidity.

some strains maybe take longer, not an expert by any means.
