So what im planning to do is make 2 small casing trays with just verm, 2 jars in each, 2 different strains. My FC is a blue rubbermaid tub with plenty of holes stuffed with polyfil, perlite at the bottom. I have a small LED light covered with a coffee filter fixed into the lid, its stored next to an air purifier. How do you think I should case? Split the cakes, crumble them, or whole? I could also use some tips on keepin everything clean since I have never cased before, tell me what you guys think, thanks alot

It's hard to say anything about the setup without seeing it. I would say make sure that your holes on the tub are, 2 towards the top and 2 towards the bottom but above the casing, and inch or so, on each side. Now, I hope by, "2 different strains," you do not mean mixed together because that would give you an adverse result, the strains would compete. You should crumble the cakes if you plan to do trays, if you do them whole you may as well do cakes... I suggest you read a little more.

Bare in mind, I don't know a whole hell of a lot from experience as of yet, but from what I understand, here is what I can say:
Easiest would be to crumble the cakes. I know I get very, very easily frustrated when doing any sterile procedure (which is every procedure in growing mushies), so I would crumble them down in an unopened ziplock. Spread it as evenly as possible, and do NOT pack any of the casing layer. I'd suggest a mix, this being the most popular 50/50 mix of verm/peat moss. There are various ingredients you can add, just search (top right corner) for 'casing teks' to maximize the bang for your buck, but a good crumble and case should produce something of a flush or so.
