pressure cooking my jars filled with vermiculite and brown rice

I made sure that I did everything in a clean and sterile kitchen, and I was sure to wipe the inside rim of the jar before filling it with dry vermiculite. The only thing that went wrong is the air conditioning kicked on in the middle of packing the jars. I was sure to immediately turn it off, though. I didn't wear gloves, but I did sterilize my hands like 50x. I have six separate garbage cans for my inoculated jars and plan to cover each with its own towel while the white stuff forms. Are the garbage cans a good idea? I thought that an improvement to the pf tek would be to isolate the jars so that any contaminents that start in one are guaranteed not to spread. What do you guys think?

I think you have nothing to worry about. The reason you PC PF jars is to make a sterile environment as well as substrate. Now, this doesn't mean it is 100% fail safe. It does mean though that you should be just fine as long as you didn't go completely retarded and do something off the wall with them.

Ya relax man.
The separate cans are overkill. If you PC em' they should be fine. You can keep them together, and if you suspect one is contamed, just isolate it until you are sure. The dry verm layer does a great job as long as you don't tilt, shake, or knock the jars too much.
Also you don't need to worry about sterility to much before you PC them. The germs in your AC will get killed from cooking just like the germs already present in the rice and vermiculite.
A paper towel might be alright, but make sure those jars can breathe. If you deny them gas exchange you will slow down or halt mycelium growth.
