Controversial method... any tips on cutting away uncolonized spots from stalled BRF Jars?
    #8684907 - 07/26/08 04:26 PM (15 years, 8 months ago)

I have two jars that colonized pretty well except both have stopped from bacterial contamination (aka wet spots).  Unfortunately, one of them is pinning and my best course of action is to birth them early.  I am a confused newbie on matters like this... so lets say I'm forced to do this.  What's my best strategy?  Would it be good to simply wash away the uncolonized stuff with water and then just dunk and roll like normal?  What if the inside looks uncolonized?  Is casing a better option?
Thanks for your patience, this is my first and likely only time growing.

I'd empty the contents of the jar and start over rather than attempt the big hassle.
