It's the luck of the draw what you find at the thrift store. I've only seen really old relics that need parts.
Here's the best deal I ever see: Presto 23qt $79.99 shipped
How is anyone supposed to help you find a pressure cooker locally? We don't even know where you live. Do you need someone to drive to your house, pick you up, and take you to the store??
Every Walmart I've been to has PC's, though they've been smaller than I'd want to get. I can't remember if Target had them, and I haven't been to K-Mart. You can always look at their websites, use your phone to call them and save gas, and look on craigslist (that's where I got my dehydrator).

i just wanted to get the thing like now and not wait till next weekend. i still have two mason jars i inoculated on wednesday night but still no signs of growth yet. but if i get nothing out of these two i know then its the pressure cooker cause mine right now doesnt have the gauge on it and it is hard to judge without it.
i checked the main stores like walmart target kmart sears and nothing with a gauge. so now i am looking for cooking stores or maybe a bigger target or mom and pop places.. i have tried yellowpages.com and i am gonna call a couple places now but just wondered if anyone had known for sure of a cooking store that has em

Thrift shops are great places to look.
I got mine off craigslist.
Huge National for 30 or 35 bucks. Can't remember.
If you search and don't find one, post an ad under the wanted to buy section. You will get swamped with responses.
Good luck.

The pressure cooker's not going to have too much to do with whether you grow mycelium or not... I don't think.
