Growing in apartment that hasn't been visited or aired out in three months

I'm going back to my apartment tommorow so that I can grow in peace, and it hasn't been properly lived in for about three and a half months. When I leave it for long periods of time it becomes pretty musty smelling. I'm planning on airing it out for a day before innoculating and would like to know if anyone has any advice for growing in an apartment that hasn't seen a lot of airflow in a while. I left the air condition on at 79, so I guess it has seen SOME air flow, but I don't know. I'm planning on just vacuuming and wiping everything off with lysol and then getting to work.

Open a window, get some fans blowing fresh air into the apartment for a bit, then the ac should take care of the rest, I'm not sure I would start until most of the musty smell is gone, probably just begging for contaminants that way. Out of curiosity, what strain are you growing?

PES Amazonian. I'm a little nervous. I didn't realize that contamination was such an issue until I started reading around. I'm buying hand sanitizer, soap, breath masks, lysol, a lighter, 70% rubbing alcohol, and It's my assumption that pressure cooking is an all around better method than steaming, so I'm buying one of those too. I just hope that the tin foil and dry layer of vermiculite will deter most contams.

I'm having four inoculation points per jar. How much liquid from the syringe do i let in? Just enough so that a drop or so runs down the side of the jar, right?

Let in a lot of fresh air, a lot of sunlight (the UV light will help kill a lot of airborne contams), and spraying some Oust or Lysol wouldn't hurt anything either.

Make sure your air filter to your AC is clean. After 3 months I'd replace it just to be safe. Get a good one. You don't have to buy the 35 dollar one but don't get the one that costs a dollar either. Read the packaging it will usually give you an idea of where you get the most bang for your buck. Turn your AC on and switch the fan to ON. It actually keeps your electric costs down because it keeps the air flowing and keeps things for heating up. Cost about as much to run a 60 watt light bulb. Leaving your fan on all the time for a day or two with a clean filter will really help things out. Lysol is good for cleaning. I like to wipe my area down with a 10 percent bleach solution better though. Doesn't get as sticky, it's cheaper, you don't have to worry about fungus mutations, etc.
A PC is definitely the way to travel in this hobby. It's worth the money. Get a big one that will hold at least 10 grain jars and you will thank yourself later for the extra 30 dollar investment. Presto makes a good one that is cheap to get you started. Check Amazon.
That is correct for inoculation. Just till you see a drop run down. The tek calls for a quarter of a cc but that can be a pain in the ass to try to get perfect. A little drop that runs down the glass is all gravy.
Good luck.

I like OUST! !! I uses so much OUST! They should give me a billion shares in it. Works great They have started selling larger cans than what I have been getting. They last longer.
