Water to spawn ratio for PC rye berries?

I can't find the tek(s) I was looking for. One quart jars It specified the berry to water ratio to add to one quart jars prior to PC for 20 mins.. any help?

If you follow RRs Rye Tek (Rinse,Soak,Simmer) their is no need to mess around with any water to rye ratio
But maybe their is another reason for your question then the strive for just perfect grain....

Basic Rye Grain Recipe for 1 Quart Jar
Rye - 200g (=7.0 oz = 250 ml = 1.0 cup)
Distilled Water - 220g (= 7.8 oz = 220 ml = 0.92 cup)

If you soak grains for 12-24 hours it will already be at the proper moisture content for PCing.

Youll want to soak and simmer, then drain for best results. Like pontus said.

I got within the same results either way and see no benefit of wasting time (and risking burst wbs) simmering. simmering does have its purpose, especially if you're not soaking to begin with but I always soak 12+, so...

If you strain your grain while still hot from simmering any excess moisture will evaporate. Thus providing perfect rye!

I'm not a big fan of simmering, I've had three batches of bacteria laden rye berries due to too much water left over.

I use 200 gram rye and 210 gram water in a quart jar.

I'm another soak for a day, simmer for 20 min, drain and PC. The only time I did it otherwise I got contams.
