Lookin to buy this baby, what do ya think??
http://www.zzounds.com/item--SCEC1CL http://www.zzounds.com/productreview--SCEC1CL
I've been playing a couple years, have 2 guitars right now.
A Jay Turser, aka startup guitar, came with its own mini amp and all that.
My uncle brought down a Gibson Challenger that was from 1983, still a startup guitar.
I've been getting pretty serious lately and so would this be a good upgrade??

My brother had that exact guitar, it plays pretty well but honestly for the money it's not what I would buy. Make sure you don't buy it off the internet, you're gonna want to play the actual guitar you're getting before you purchase it.

yep same thing i was gonna say. op i suggest you go to the local shops and play whatever is in your price range. if you're gonna drop 750 you have so many options from so many guitar companies it's crazy.

Yeah, Ive been playing for 4 years a Schecter diamond series (spitfire-6) is what i have. I've had it since before i started playing serious and its always been good to me.
That guitar is way prettier then mine though.
But yeah, like the man above me said, your not gonna want to buy it off the internet. Go to a guitar store looking for that brand, hell you can go up there and request it, if they don't have it on stock I'm sure they can get you a model in a couple weeks to try out.
ALWAYS try before you buy with instruments, its the only way to fly. One of my old music instructors ordered a Gibson Les Paul off the internet and what he got was a sub-standard instrument, don't get me wrong.....it still played fantastic; but nothing like the others i have tried out.
Good luck man. Hope you get the one you want.

Search craigslist everyday.
Pretty much all of my gear has been bought used....and I've gotten all of it for atleast half of what its priced at in stores.
Good luck!

Well for that amount of money, what are my other options do you guys think?
I mean obviously I could buy a fender or Gibson, but any specific recommendations for models?
I'm a Hendrix, Floyd, zeppelin, Marley, RHCP fan, thats the kinda stuff I play.

Check out local messaage boards, and pawn shops. Ive got 5 guitars, and all but the 2 of them inherited from my dad came from pawn shops.
I bought this bass for a friend of mine at a pawn shop for a little less than 100.

Hendrix - Fender Stratocaster Gilmour - Fender Stratocaster Page - Fender Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul, some Danelectro guitar Marley - Gibson Les Paul Frusciante - Fender Stratocaster
Try them all out; go to pawn shops, garage sales, and music stores. You'll feel that much closer to your guitar after searching so hard for it.

I have an ESP Eclipse with EMGs in it...cost a pretty penny...i honestly think my old $100 guitar has a faster neck and wider variety of tone...(bought it online/have had it setup)
