So just before bed last night my wife is walking down the hallway. She sees a dark spot in the carpet just before she stepped on it. She flicked on the light to find this guy just chillin in the middle of the hallway!
Now I'm gonna have a hard time walking around in the dark for a few days until the shock wears off. Oh well, joys of living in the desert.

Actually, from what I've been told (by poison control when I got stung by one a few years ago) most species native to this area are not very dangerous to adult humans. And even the most venomous species wouldn't result in a death unless severe anaphylactic shock were involved.

Oy, yeah be careful man. Out west they have some very dangerous scorpions, some are potentially fatal. I don't think the guy you have there is deadly, but it still hurts like a bitch when you get stung. I've been stung about 6 or 7 times, but thats because I catch them.

I was at work yesterday, just working at my desk, when I look down and a fucking tarantula sized spider was on my fucking foot.
I'm deathly afraid of spiders, and when I saw that one, I almost had a panic attack.
What really freaked me out, is that it was probably sitting by foot for who knows how long, and if I hadn't of looked when I did, right when it walked onto my foot, I probably would of died. Not from the spider bite, but from sever terror of seeing that thing crawling up my leg.
Didn't work at that desk the rest of the day.

Pris, you're up in the mountains right? I've never seen yellow ones. Just those brown ones. I always find the ones I posted hiding under rocks or under dead bark on trees, down around the Buford Dam area.

OP, we get those same scorpions here in Austin, they aren't deadly, but it does suck when they get in your house. i've had them fall from my ceiling fan and land next to me on the couch, i have to check under my bedsheets every night for months after i see them. the thought of one getting to my nuts while im asleep is one of the only things that scares me at night, lol.
