You don't need to drill a lot of holes.  Some growers choose to fan several times per day instead.

This quote is from shortly after the man improved the concept and coined the 'shotgun FC' method. It works for those who are able to attend to a FC every hour or two.

You CAN fan 5-7-12 times a day, but it's much easier to drill holes, even with a nail and lighter, than maintain this.

Some of us work jobs and sleep at night, fanning every 2-3 hours is NOT convenient.

I don't know that

"fan several times per day" = " fan 5-7-12 times a day... every 2-3 hours."

Yeah, soldering iron + plastic + enclosed space = death

I always work outside with a fan blowing the fumes away.

And don't listen to the second poster with the garbage bad, the person obviously has no idea what they're talking about.

I'll have to disagree. My first FC was a 10 gallon aquarium with a garbage bag loosely draped over it for a cover. I fanned maybe 2-3 times a DAY (not hour) if I even had a chance to fan at all and the cakes all fruited great.

lol don't use a lighter and a nail

don't even use a flame, use your stove top to heat your nail, it's much easier to get the entire thing red hot (lasts for alot more hole pokin)

try to use an aluminum nail since they heat up faster

this also work extremely well to heat knives for cutting the clear tubs like they're butter

Are you even reading posts, or are you just randomly typing text? That's two replies from you in 5 min that don't have anything to do with the OP. :what:

hey Endepth just go through my post and read them and you will see they make sense, im just trying to be helpful by giving my honest opinion . and also that is how i deal with rubbermaid tubs i dont drill holes and i use a clear garbage bag as a lid and it works great in an area with high summertime humidity.

He asked how to clean up the holes he drilled. Not how to fruit his tubs.

yeah and my advice was to not make holes and fruit it like i said. whats the big deal guy, its not that off topic i mean its in the ballpark, it not like i gave him instructions to build a model airplane or something.

No big deal at all... This guy already drilled his holes though. Your post had nothing to do with his question is all.
