How do YOU deal with Rubbermaids?

Okay well I just got finished drilling holes in my Rubbermaid for a Shotgun FC and it was definitely a pain to get all those little plastic "hangers" off after drilling. I usually take a razor and scrape flat across the tub to remove them but that tears up my fingers and takes forever.
So the question is: How does everyone else deal with this issue?

Are you even reading posts, or are you just randomly typing text? That's two replies from you in 5 min that don't have anything to do with the OP.

you need to stop following peeps to troll them....
to the op , they shoud wipe off by hand easily, or get a rag and wipe them off , no need for perfect holes

I am in the process of making my Shotgun FC with a lighter and nail (don't have a drill), and have also been using a razor to shave off the hanging plastic from the holes. You are right, it is pretty tedious.

I just put some alcohal on a clean wrag and wipe the inside of the tub plus the lid. It gets the 'hangers' off, most of it, plus cleans the terrarium.

Seems like you are following ME. Why don't you go play on the train tracks, or put me on ignore again. I was enjoying the silence.

Yeah. I dripped melting plastic on my hand and it left the sickest burn... like craters in my skin. It's pretty infected looking too.

True. I am just paranoid about FAE and mold. If I ever get caught up doing something and don't make it home in time to fan, at least I know that my babies can still breathe. Plus, I am half done already. I just have to run up tot eh store and get another lighter in a few. This one already ran out of fluid. Haha. Thanks much, though.

Agreed with Legal, but I just used an ordinary kitchen knife and reamed the holes. Enough so I dont scrape my hand reaching in.

Thanks guys I'll try the knife reaming trick. When I work on projects I have to try and make them as complete as possible. If I left the "hangers" it would bug me forever lol

I tried this with a different type of Rubbermaid box and the fumes (which I tried to avoid) actually made me sick.

It bothers me too when they are left behind but I get the ones that can be pulled off and the thin plastic coating that is left behind stays. Ive tried to cut it out before but it ends up making the holes not perfectly round intensifying the problem and my OCD hahaha. If doing monotubs, the poly fill will cover it just fine. For shot gun FC.... well... I dont know what to say other then, melt holes with a nail in a board or a similar way. I think youll do just fine

I've done the same shit. Some of us can't get ahold of a drill all the time.
The lighter and nail method works, it just takes a while. And don't listen to the second poster with the garbage bad, the person obviously has no idea what they're talking about.
Unless the plastic is being dropped onto the substrate, it makes no difference. As long as you drilled outside to inside and rinsed it out, there is no problem. Search function.
