I had a stack of ye'olde round coffee filters about 3 feet high, I had to do something with them.

I standardized all my jars on Wide Mouths just to keep things consistent. I am sure the other mouth sized jars will work find with the larger jars + wild seed. I am not much into customizing lids and the like so I am going to try my hand at using this method with oyster mushrooms and the rest as a rye replacement.

I do enjoy the rapid and contaminant clean colinization of ultra filthy and dusty ultra cheap wild birdset. I got it at one of those pet superstores, housebrand, huge bag the size of those big dog food bags. And I recall it being extremely inexpensive at $4-5 a bag.
