see this new person has 2 posts. if my search count post block feature was in place, this question would never have poped up. noobs should be required to search thirty to fifty times before they are allowed to post in the cultivation forum. this would teach users to use the search function.

You posted something irrelevant in a thread. You yourself only have 102 posts at the time of this post. Searches...? I could search 200 times in 20 minutes with no posts. Don't hijack threads for your agenda. Go post your complaint in the feedback forum.
Sorry OP. Had to respond.

sorry OP for calling you ignorant. i received a warning for this. just in my defence. ignorant in definition means someone who hasnt learned something yet. i am ignorant to rockett science. you havent learned to search the shroomery. but i see how that word has a double meaning and someone would possibly be offended. sorry again. i had no right posting in your thread unless it was to help you. have a quality day

UTFSE!!!!!
i use
1 Tbsp coated then drained slightly of Malt Syrup from the brewery.
and squeeze 1tsp of karo
and mix into boiling hot water, so it actually becomes a solution, and disperses throughout the water.
that's easy enough.

agar or agar agar... is made from seaweed.
obtained from the cell membranes of some species of red algae, primarily from the genuses Gelidium and Gracilaria, or seaweed (Sphaerococcus euchema). Commercially it is derived primarily from Gelidium amansii.
Making your own agar from seaweed is a PITA... so it is usually bought commercially... and is usually used as a solidifier.
Agar's best-known use is as a solid microbiological culture substrate. Which is probably what you are looking for. Here is a list of Culture Medium's with agar that we use the most in mycology...
http://www.shroomery.org/5243/What-are-some-good-agar-media-recipes
I prefer using MEA and PDYA.
Here is my recipe for PDYA...
-Potato Dextrose(Yeast)Agar-
500ml water 5 grams of instant potato flakes(Potato Buds Brand) 9 grams agar agar 10 ml honey (Raw natural pure honey - Beemaid Brand) 1 gram of Nutritional Yeast(optional)
Now if you are actually asking how to make agar from seaweed... I do know how to make it if you are interested in doing that. Just let me know.

i'm pretty sure he was just giving the simplest agar mix up for the sake of ease... i could just as easily say "what, no yeast or peptone, p. menace?"
edit: also, i like it how in your first post you're talking shit about people just trying to up their post counts, then you have 2 posts in a row, the second one being completely irrelevant (just trying to poke at juke...). There's an edit function, yeah? yeah!
edit #2:

that sounds like a recipe for an LC to me... nothing in there that's going to make that solidify if you pour that into plates...
and i need to read a whole thread before i post, because i'm always finding more to post about than just the OP... if i posted like a lot of you do though, i would have double my post count easy, the edit function is your friend!
