My friend called me at work today and texted me pictures of what looked like woodloving psilocybes from Malibu.
He brought them to my house and I now have 3 cups full of subaeruginasces bigger than Ive ever seen before. Mind blowing.
Ill post pictures in a bit and Ill post habitat pictures tomorrow when I go and check out the patch

Can't wait to see the photos. Make sure to keep the mycelium of this patch separate.

WAIT WHY?>>>
I already threw the myc in my other tub with the previous subaeruginascens.
But I DO have 4 separate cardboard spawns I just made. and lots of prints.
They are definitely the same thing.

I think it is a good idea to keep distinct strains separate, just for comparing fruiting bodies to see variation within species as well as variation in basidiomes of a single organism.

Also note,
I took a small handful of these on friday (0.8-1.2 grams) and enjoyed myself very much! felt like twice that weight in cubes.

Truthfully, I haven't been looking. Like, in Fall the cyans and friscosas are all over the place, and because these Spring Psilocybe still require moisture to fruit, they are more scarce and only really found around sprinklers. So i haven't been actively seeking out new patches.
I did check on one patch the other day, and found a lot of old rotten ones, but nothing to recent.

When i pick weilii i always leave sum to drop spores and keep the myc nice and healthy, i think it works cuz the patches i have done this to are always healthier than the ones that i dont do this with.

i learned not too long ago that the area i live in has subaeruginescens in the spring(which i have yet to find) and cyanescens in the fall... good news for me paulrus, you should have ovoids to look for right now if im not mistaken.

Just a little update on the potency of these mushrooms guys...
ALteredstates has a relatively high tolerance to psilocybin mushrooms. He has taken 5.5 grams before of subbalteatus and 2.5 of subaeruginascens and many other psychedelics but tonight, he took 3.5 grams of these subaeruginascens and within 20 minutes was tripping hard. From fear of having an uncontrollable and fearful trip, He, other spectators and I agreed that he should throw up so the rest of the mushrooms would come up and not make him trip as hard. He did and then felt the anxiety leave but he couldnt be in the house so he got in his car and sat there for an hour. Me and my friend D checked up on him and brought him in the house and he came willingly. Thats what has occured up to this point in time. He claimed there was strong visuals lying in the dark car.
He took them at 8:00, It is now 10:26, He is in the backyard. Update soon.

Nooooooooooooo. You should have let him enjoy all of them. He would have probably had some tough times, but some really good ones. In the end he would have had an experience few ever reach.
Anyway, he should have a good time either way. Come back soon, oh and take pictures of him.

he was okay after that. Enjoyed it and still got visuals hours alter he said but the first 2 hours were a little rocky. He shouldve taken 2.5 last night but the house party was too much for anyone on shrooms.

A house party prompted my only bad trip ever. I ate 7 grams by accident, and the next thing I knew I was taking my friend home cause he thought he was dead. He then drove to my house going 100 because he thought I was dead, and he was my angel.
I then completely lost it at this point, and not sure what really happeend after it. Fun night.

I feel a little stupid this morning that I was so arrogant last night. These mushrooms are fucking powerful. Within 30 minutes I was tripping harder than a peak on 5 grams of subbs. I freaked out because if that was the beginning, I couldn't know where I would end up. Maybe I will does that much again but I need a lot more experience with them first. I have a new respect for them.
