...Canada legalized marijuana? Would you abandon the US of A and move up here? Or just cross the border to party on the weekends?

i agree with cubies4me. just because canada may legalize herb doesnt mean it's a better country because it's NOT. USA baby. USA USA USA. by the way, i doubt that it will get legalized. contrary to popular beleife pot is not legal in holland. the government has chosen to just look the other way. and most likely this will happen in canada as well. and i cant wait.

Uhh im so sick of these stupid assumptions and "jokes" about Canada. Polar bears, well maybe is you go incredibly high up north but 99% of Canada doesn't have any polar bears... just grizzlys
" and wait unitl we inevitably legalize it also" By the time the US legalizes you will be 6 feet underground....
This will be a great step for the economy/freedome/stoners Fd

If marijuana is legalized or decriminalized I would definately consider moving to Canada.I mean why live somewhere, where you can be put in jail for a very long time just for smoking an herb when you can live somewhere that you can do it and not have to worry about jail time.To me it would be total peace of mind. I could do what I really love and that is growing marijuana and not have to worry about any consequences. But I really doubt Canada will be able to loosen up it's marijuana laws just because of the good ol US of A. America makes too much money off of it being illegal. All the American government cares about is fucking money. This country doesn't care about your freedom. Don't get me wrong, I love America, but our government has really gone down the drain. There are too many monery hungry stupid fucks trying to control us. And when you start using marijuana and psychedelics your are less likely to conform to their crooked ways so they lock you away with a bunch of murders, rapist, and common criminals and brainwash ppl that don't use psychedelics to think that is moraly wrong to use these substances and you should be locked away. Anyways I could go on and on and on and on but the bottom line is if it becomes legal in Canada, I might just pack my shit up and head north.

Shallow? Growing marijuana and mushrooms is my passion for life. If I have to move a couple of hundred miles north to grow without having to worry about jail time I will definately consider it. I'm tired of worrying if I am gonna end up in jail. You obviously have never been to jail. It fuckin sucks.

If the shoe were on the other stoned foot, I'd jump the border in a second. Its not necessarily shallow, just practical. If you have two nations which are (excuse the broad generalization) more or less identical, which one do you choose to live in? The one where pot is easily available and LEGAL, or the one where pot is easily available but irritatingly ILLEGAL? No brainer.
And our beer is better. NYAH

I'd definitely move it on up to Canada.
I mean USA and Canada are just about the same thing, and if they legalized bud...well, it would just be like the USA with bug legalized!
Also, with the US currently a big terrorist target, its probably better to haul up to Canada and watch the USA get blown up from a safe distance.

You apply to Citizenship & Immigration Canada ( http://cicnet.ci.gc.ca/english/index.html ) under the Skilled Worker Class, Business Class or Family Class. (Shite, talk about hive mentality) Basically, if you're a skilled worker, business person or you have family in Canada, you fill out the form and make your case to the Guv. Or at least that's what 5 minutes at the site has told me...
Also, particular provinces that are hungry for a population boost can sponsor you for citizenship, provided you live where they tell you to live.

>America makes too much money off of it being illegal. All the American government cares about is fucking money.
That doesnt make too much sense in my world. Nevada doesnt have as high of (or any i think) state taxes as we do because of legalization of prostitution and gambling, and the taxes on each. Imagine how many people smoke weed and how much money those people spend on it per year. Then think of the unending resources the united states has to expand the weed business, and the lowered cost that would encourage buyers. The sales tax alone would bring in so much extra revenue. Plus i dont understand how u can say the u s makes money off of weed being illegal. Either way ur comment confuses me, jus thought i would let u know.

Dude, I wouldn't even move to Nevada if they legalized it.
There are places in the United States where getting caught with under an ounce will get you a $25 fine (Ann Arbour, MI) Isn't that close enough? Why don't you live there?

Close...but not good enough. And even if its only a 25$ fine, you still lose the ounce.
