Can't identify this mold/mycelium

This is FOAFs 2nd attempt with the Oak Ridge strain on BRF + verm . Its been THREE days since inoculation of the jars, with a spore syringe FOAF made from print. FOAF was very sterile. Used Fractional sterilization for the record. FOAF inoculated each hole with more than 1cc of solution. FOAF woke up yesterday to find this in my jars, contamination or mycelium??
Three days after inoc:

Looks like mycelium. Does it smell? You should remove that foil.

FOAF's been too scared to crack it and smell it, just in case it's not a contam. FOAF has attempted to smell it, but they usually spray a bleach solution in the air before they open the box they have them in, so they generally can only smell bleach..
It's a good idea to take the tin foil off leaving the holes exposed?

You should be using Poly-fil or Tyvek to cover your gas exchange holes. The foil is used to keep out additional moisture when PCing. As long as you don't blow your nose on the Tyvek you should be able to smell it without adding a contaminate. If it's roting, you'll smell it without opening the jar lid.

Well just my untrained eye, but from my experience in three days you have some nice myc going there, I dont see any sign of contam. Yea you should probably take the foil off but i would for sure sit those jars right side up so that your verm barrier will stay intact. when the myc keeps forming your cake will shrink a bit allowing your verm to move freely being lay ed on their sides might cause the verm layer to collapse.

FOAF just opened one of the top of the jars maybe half an inch and took a big wiff. Smells like verm pretty much.
FOAF also noticed that this growth, DOES NOT go up in to the verm layer.

I hope you weren't standing in front of the AC vent when you did that....
Good, set those upright like gethyn suggests. You're doing great, patience.

FOAF was just standing in the middle of their bed room, there's no draft in here really. FOAF always whipes their hands down with clorox disinfectant whipes before they open the incubation box.
Is there a high risk of contams in that jar now that FOAF opened it for 2-3 seconds? FOAF moved it to a different chamber than the other jars in the incubation box now that they've opened it.

Just let it go, from what i see your good. Dont open anymore jars! My cat knocked off a box that had like 10 jars in it, the box hit the floor the NEXT day i had green everywhere, its good that you moved that jar i wouldnt open a jar unless i had a nice flow hood to do it with your just asking for problems.

Damn.. FOAF originally started with 4 jars, but FOAF used up all my inoculant before FOAF got to the 4th so FOAF only has 3 jars.
So, it would leave me with 2 jars if that jar FOAF opened gets contamed.

Please don't say FOAF.
Legally its not protecting you if you are growing. If it is really for your friend its hard to read, tell him to register an account himself.
Please post pictures from the shroomery and not other sources here is a guide...

Those jars look fine to me by the way.

I'm definitely worried about it being cobweb mold, but it doesn't have those little hairs inside, so I don't know.
The syringe wasn't a real dark one. Had maybe half of a quarter sized print in it.
Also, something that could be contributing is that I made my own brown rice flour, by grinding up the brown rice, so it's like a 50/50 ratio of whole to powdered brown rice, which I heard can speed colonization.
If you flushed the substrate and myc from all of your jars down the toilet right before LEO showed up with a warrant, and all you had was a bunch of supplies, they could attempt to charge you with intent to manufacture a controlled substance or whatever it is. I've heard of people getting this charge. You might be able to fight it in court, but you're pretty much screwed if they have you saying *I* did whatever online, your lawyer can't do much, you just gave them self incriminating evidence. Ever hear of using Tor with Privoxy? Then they can't just say, oh well this IP is yours.
I may be wrong, but that's why it's my FOAF doing it just in case, haha.
