Coir question

I spawned a few BRF cakes from a LC to coir. I shredded the peices up well with a cheese grater, but the myc is only poking through in big clumps.
Now, I could jsut be patient and let it colonize fully then add the 50/50 casing, but I was wondering..
If I break up the clumps of myc and mix it all together again, wouldn't their be more innocualtion points, thus making the coir colonize faster? The myc will need to repair, but this is a valid theory correct?

The more you handle it the higher your chances of contaminations will be. I'd just let it finish. You can patch it if you need to. How long has it been colonizing?

Hm, maybe 5 - 6 days. The other one is almost done, this one didnt have myc as finely broken up.
I went ahead and did it in my glovebox under sterile procedures to see what would happen. Not like I don't have back-ups so I will do it in the name of science, although I would not recommend doing it, as it does invite an easier atmosphere for contams. I just was curious to see if it would prove my theory, or epic phail.

-Whoa, you straight up cheese grated your damn mycelium????
!!!That is funny!!!
-You 'should' cut it up with a sterile knife. Or sterile cutting instrument.
-I 'wonder' does it damage the mycelium if you cheese grate that shit?? Hahaha, hope it doesn't cause you already did it.
-If you see growth you might be good...

Myc fluffed up and is almost colonized. It started reaching crazily and now it's almost all white.
