there actually alot easier to hunt for than weilii, cubes are rather big, and grow straight from cow or horse dung.

I know these pictures dont do much justice, my settings on the my comera werent right, but these were found on "border town"
on a trail right on the border of grass and woods... you are right, they are elusive little bastards. I guess due to the cold snap, almost all of these aborted, but in my experience the aborts are far more potent.

I agree with the rain, no new growth on my patches since 2 or 3 days ago. I reeally like your habitat shots, they are clustered all on top of each other. that is awesome. and I would also agree with the potency of the aborts. I ate 2 very very very small caps,( caps the size of my finger nail) and tripped for 4 or 5 hours.  They always get more potent this time of year. I think it is natures way of saying "the end of the season is coming, stock up for winter!"

super nice finds...

I think you may be right on why vets are not posting here anymore. However, i have a theory that maybe they stopped after the whole ihaveacow drama bullshit; people got freaked. that spot was amazing too, i even remember running into you one time, i was looking obvious as hell in my younger days... but after all that ihaveacow drama i've changed my ways, woodlands for me now on.

dosage for a level 4 is 3.159-weilii

dosage for a level 4 is 4.213-cubensis

dosage for a level 4 is 2.913-cyanescens

dosage for a level 4 is 2.433-liberty caps

dosage for a level 4 is 14.42-stuntzii

dosage for a level 4 is 5.528-Pan. subbs

dosage for a level 4 is 4.748-baeocystis

dosage for a level 4 is  2.076-azurecens

just figured i would post these to show how weilii add up to other species being found, these numbers vary of course and there are many things that influence that.

This is just a rough estimate for shits and giggles, i didnt use the default number on the caclulator i lowered it and the one for psilocin as well just be more accuate if thats possible:crazy:

are you saying that the short black caps are not good because it means the season is in the very beginning of the end, or do you mean that the short black caps just are not good specimens to find due to other reasons like weight?

Usually the ones with black caps are that way from getting rained on, rain decreases potency and makes the caps leathery and black.

It also makes them bruise all over before you even pick them, there are lots of pics of this on here.

Oxidation = Potency loss

A few from today, you can see the older specimens with more blue bruising in the cap than the fresher one in the front, the stems are the same, younger specimens were fresh older ones totally blue.

Also we need rain, my patches are forming lots of aborts. Many of the ones with black caps wont grow anymore, little aborted bastards ya gotta harvest them and your going to lose weight with it if thats an issue for you your fucked.

I dont care about that since all my specimens are for my college mycology classes.

I honesty prefer the pre blueing ones the best. It is like I just found the smurfs town and now it is time to eat all there houses!! HAHAHAHAAHA!! eat all the little smurfy bastards!

but seriously, the ones that turn blue seem to be easier to spot for me. They are also a dead give away on the IDing of them.

On another note, I found a Crushed red velvet mushroom yesterday and it looked like another active that has been posted on shroomery, but I just cant find it. does anyone else remember seeing a darker red mushroom that is active in north Ga.? I didnt have a camera with me when I got it. sry.

It was shaped and sized like a weilii and had a decent smell also. The gills were the same crushed velvet red that the cap was. very pretty mushie. I am looking for it on other sites right now, trying to score a pic.

AcidTripper8's Gallery pic/photo274.jpeg on shroomery is almost exactly what I found except the ones I found are red. I also didnt notice any bluing, but amanita muscarias dont bruise either.

Start at Marietta and move north or east, or northeast. from Dallas all the way to I85 above 285 seems good to me.

I agree, oxidation does loose potency, a very very negligible amount; not enough to make a significant difference. However, when I was speaking of short blue weilii, I was referring to "aborts," which, i am sure you will agree, are extremely potent.

And if someone is depressed that their aborts are loosing a lot of their weight, make chocolates...
