I have been finding patches of just aborts alot recently, i found a ton the other day.
I left them 3 days to see if they grew at all and they did not so i harvested them.
Its the cold and the rain that makes them ride the short bus

Finally some good news!
So I was driving home this afternoon and as I drove past this neighborhood I noticed what appeared to be a bunch of weilii. Having never seen them from the road like that, I did a Uturn and went to check it out and upon the second pass I saw them again so I checked it out.

How easy would it be to spread weilli to Georgia's surrounding states?

Well its definitely possible, I remember hearing about a guy finding some in one of our neighboring states. I'm not 100% sure which one, but I'm saying it was South Carolina.

KMHunta42 said: ok hey i live up in kennesaw of course and yall know how it rained two days ago well i found a patch that still hasn had any of them pop back up. the second thing is for some reason where i usually go hunting in pine forests to just look at good places some of the indicators that were there or just any of the other mushrooms are not showing up anymore and then my friends patch thats out in the woods kinda isn't poppin anymore up for the past 2 weeks... would anyone know why this is happening?
I have noticed that it is grass weilii season in the fall and woodland and pinestraw weilii in the spring and summer.

Actually, I think it may vary from patch to patch, because mine is a grass patch and thats not the case for these...I cant wait for spring and summer!!!

Really? That is cool. feel lucky, because most of my grass patches dont fruit all season, and then out of nowhere, they blow up in sept. Also, most of my pine straw and woodland spots stop fruiting at about sept. I still look in both just in case.

so if I obtained a mycelium and introduced it in South Carolina what are the chances the species would survive and do well? ...or spread?

I would start with soil samples, elevation, and environment, and average temps and rainfall, and try and mimic as closely as possible

Congrats to the first time finders! Unfortunately, I haven't had time to scout for new spots but at least the neighborhood bermuda patch is still spitting out a few freshies here and there...
