Dock Ellis baseball cards
    #864798 - 09/05/02 06:54 AM (14 years, 6 months ago)

Dock Ellis , former pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates is best known for throwing a no hitter on June 12th 1970 under the influence of LSD.

I'm curious. Does anyone out there in Shroomery land own a Dock Ellis baseball card? If so, or if not, how much are they worth? I'd like to go try and find one one day just for a little psychedelia souvenir.

I think it's funny how the legend is distorted.
It sounds like he pitched perfectly, but
he walked them all and scared the batters to death.

If he walked them all they would of scored and it wouldn't of been a shut out.

Not worth much man. That one looks like a 71' Topps #2 Dock. I have a 75' Dock 145 Pirates and it's worth at max around 10-20$. A sad price for such a legendary pitcher. Legendary to me doesn't mean he was great, which usually dictates what cards are worth... but oh wow he left an impression on the sport. Good to see there are other collectros out there. If that's your card, it looks a little dog eared.

That must have been some good cid if he took it at 1, then the game started at 6:05 and he tripped the whole time. Dam, I wish I had some of that

Sammy:
Oh i'm sure they aren't worth much money. I'm glad, because I want one. No that's not my card.

Killa420:
All I have to say is that it was 1970. I'm sure acid was incredible back then!
