PF Tek confusion
    #864090 - 09/04/02 05:10 PM (21 years, 4 months ago)

The PF Tek for dummies technique featured on http://www.fungifun.org/pf/pf_en.htm says to remove the cake from the jar. Is there some way to remove mycelium, or are they speaking about removing the jars entire continents ? I ask this because I see a lot of people saying they put their cakes into patties and wait for them to fruit, and with this method, it appears you simply pour the entire contents of the jar out into your fruiting area. Any help ?

Thanks

It will form kinda of like a block. It will be soild. And you just take it out like a pickle in a jar.

Try reading here for specific information concerning birthing from the author of the PF Tek himself.

Good luck.

If the jar is tapered, then you just need to turn the jar upside down in your hand and slam it lightly against the palm of the other hand. This will make the cake slide against the lid.
