aquired a colonized jar.
    #8629711 - 07/13/08 03:25 PM (15 years, 8 months ago)

ok, a friend of a friend past away about three weeks ago.  i knew he was cultivating mushies but just assumed it was most likely BRF cakes which i am very familiar with.  well it turns out he had a few jars left in his fridge which i happened to gain possession of.  it was a tek that i havent seen using bird seed.  so i looked it up and it looks a lot like the %22Docs wild birdseed tek.%22  and it looks fully colonized.  i have never refrigerated any jars before so my question is do i just thaw it out and then put it in a incubator or just stick it in the incubator till i see growth then fruit them then clone? or just clone while its still cold?  any help or suggestions on this would be very helpful.  and i have know idea what species it is either.  i am also assuming its some kind of cubensis. thanks

Colonized jar in the fridge?

Thaw it out?

Incubate it?

ok i guess i shouldn't have said thaw. i meant warm it up to room temp then incubate for a week or so then fruit? or should i just break it up case it and fruit while its cold.  here is a pic i just took.  its still cold. [image][/image]

so the jar is now at around 75 degrees.  and i noticed  water condensation at the bottom of the jar.  should i just birth it already and get this fruiting? or should i wait a few days?

it's grain, so, u want to "spawn" it, it won't really fruit that well/long if you treat it as a pftek cake...

eitehr case teh grain, or spawn it to coir, in a tub.
