What would be a good book to read about lsd and consciousness expansion??

Try something by Timothy Leary. I'm skimming "Changing My Mind, Among Others" at the mo. Not bad, but nothing really new so far.

I would go with McKenna. A lot of interesting stuff from him.

Would The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead (Citadel Underground) be a good one to read??

good advice on set and setting and dose, and how to guide, but... a lot of people have difficulty relating to a tibetan guide to rebirth as interpreted by trippy western psychologists... hehheh... i have always enjoyed alan watts' _the joyous cosmology_ (as an idealized golden afternoon on psychedelics as related by a brilliant wordsmith...) ~ FLASH: composer halim el dabh will be presenting in cleveland OH a musical work based on the tibetan book of the dead... yowza...

i have had several copies & "loaned" them out... i think one is in ummm colorado at the moment... the good dr watts melded several primo trips into one golden afternoon, musing on the nature of mind, self, other, the inseperability of opposites, and some of the "bigs questions" (such as "who made this mess?" and "who's going to clean it up?" ...) and the pictures, in additon to somehow complimenting the general direction of the text, sometimes seem to vibrate, or even pulsate with unearthly colors (and these are b&w phots, ok?) well worth the read, i can assure you (and it may stimulate you to search out other writings by alan watts, which in itself is prolly a good thing...) enjoy...
