black spots on fruit

i grew some mazapatepecs using the quart jar way with great results. i've been flushing for about two months and have gotten tremendous yeilds. the colonized subsrate is on it's last legs; it's about one-fifth of the size it used to be, so i know it's life cycle is just about up. the weird thing is, on my last batch of fruit they had black spots on them after they dried, either on the top of the cap or on the stalk near the base of the veil. i've seen contamanation before and this doesn't look like that, but i'm also concerned whether or not this will kill me if eaten. anyone seen anything like this before?
