Well I went in my local forest near me and found many mushrooms, IDs are not a real concern but would be nice. I brought my camera specifically for mushrooms. Also, in the forest bug repellent is like anal lube in jail, it helps, but it ain't gonna save your ass. Another thing I found out, even with a good camera taking pics of small things is a REAL bitch unless you've got a tripod. Clicky to go to full size.

I would have no idea and also do not even know to which one your referring to, plus I'm not gonna carry a huge bag with me to pick up every mushroom I find just to hopefully get some active ones.

Cool mushrooms and nice pics. It would help a lot to see the bottoms of the caps though!
Also for the Amanita, dig down below the base of the stem and carefully remove the whole stem from the ground so we can see all the features.
I don't usually use a tripod, though I do have a little mini tripod that was really cheap on ebay and is about as tall as a mushroom. If you have problems with blur due to camera motion try turning on the flash or setting the camera against something solid as you take the photo.
Those gyms do look active, maybe they are G. luteofolius.
The chanterelles look delicious too.
And some of those bolete type things are probably very good.

I think i see them all.. and im using firefox 3.0 maybe you guises connections are exploded.
Also be careful if your putting them all in one bag, some pieces might break off and you will have a sporey mess when you get home...
Plus if you find edibles or actives and mix them with poisonous ones and they break off into one big pile you wont be able to eat/dose them once your home.
A lot of people bring mushroom baskets
or other containers with compartments
Curecat uses a cool metal mesh basket thats pretty cool

It is entirely likely you missed a semi-rare active mushroom.
This should have been picked and the base of the stem pinched. I think it is Pluteus salicinus. If you can, check out the area for more of these. Small reddish-brown caps with pink gills/white stem growing on very decayed old logs. They smell like meal and the scent of quite distinctive. Sometimes the base of the stem bruises very blue.
That is a problem when you take pictures or collect mushrooms like it's an Easter Egg hunt. You end up missing details and the identifying is a nightmare unless you have hours to spend on them. I know; I've done it too many times.

I'm not an expert on these, weiliiiii, but I just found one at the 41 latitude last week. The info I found on yours, near the 33rd lat, grows on different substrate with a different colored cap.
In the North look for really old decaying trees and a reddish cap:
http://academic.evergreen.edu/projects/mushrooms/phm/s30.htm
In Georgia look for the tan colored cap. Chris Matherly found them in 2005. You might try contacting him.
http://morelmushroomhunting.com/pluteus_salicinus.htm
You know what a Pluteus cervinus looks like. These are small guys on really old logs--Pluteus species seem to prefer them. You're a good hunter, I KNOW you can find them if you haven't already.
Good luck!

Went out to collect some of the supposed active ones, luckily found more near the same area but didn't search too much as I was getting ass raped by mosquitoes. I also could not find the small one unfortunately.

Sorry for getting your hopes up, its just a Suillus.
If it looked the same but had orange gills it would be active.

Damn, also when I put the older ones in a box with desiccant after a few hours worms came out of them and were all over the box. This makes me question the safety of eating anything from the woods.

nice shrooms, yea many shrooms are loved by maggots especially bolete species, i would have only collected the chanterelles thought most of them are maggot free and fantastic to eat.
