Hey everyone, without you all i wouldnt have got this far, so many thanks! - well my cakes soaked for 24 hours, i rolled em and now theyre in the FC which has 95% RH/75f i think there's a bruise in the top, it smelled fine and looked fine before i washed it, i also decided to case the plastic tubs i had, so i soaked them seperate to avoid any contams and went out and got this HUGE big block of coir, it'll last till the year 3000 i think - i did 60/40 verm coir case and theyre back in the stealthbox.

I took a pic of my mycobag, do you think it's colonised fully yet? bear in mind the flash was used on the cam so looks brighter, the mycobag kit says to case it with verm IN THE BAG - however since its rye, do you think ill get a better flushing if i cased it in a tray?

Sorry for the 2 questions, im doing something right at least!:)

Hey man, your mycobag looks good. You could cut the top of of the bag for air exchange (reseal w/ clothespin afterward), only as long as there are no apparent spots of uncolonized substrate. It's usually pretty obvious when it's not fully colonized.

My Cakes feel all ur good vibes! i cant wait till they start to pin, re the bag, id say the top is mostly colonised - the instructions i got with the mycobag also says to cut the top off and fold it down, peg it, will this aid anything as i am still unsure as to wether to case it in the bag or case it with 60/40 verm/coir in larger tubs, which way will yield faster?

Ok, so here are my cakes 3 days in, they have a little more consolidation on the go, i also put my cased BRF PF tupperware tub style [jars] in the FC today and installed a nifty little CPU fan suspended from inside with the distance of a wall plug, i have light that is in the range of 8,000K and humidity is constant at 100%, sometimes it goes to 95% but i only spray once a day.
I was looking at the causes of cobweb as any grower is concerned about their little ones, i hope what i see is myc not dactylium in the trays...
Opinions?

Thanks for looking!

thats most deff myc IMO. if it were a close up i'd be able to tell you more definitely. less accurate but still good is a sniff test. if it smells anything less than shroomy then you should look into it further. sometimes cobweb has a more stale or dusty smell than myc. if you know myc smell you'll know what im talking about. smells wet and full. hope this helps and isn't just rubbish.
grow patterns can help too. se ehow it seems splotchy, but still slightly compact. you'll want to make sure that it doesnt fluff up too high or is too thinned out like whispy cotton. that is not myc

That's not dactylium, so you're fine. Here's what cobweb mold looks like. It's grey. RR

Great info and advice, i do the smell test as least as possible, though this morning it smelled like fresh shroomies out of the store - the smell seemed to permeate after the spray, i cased that retched mycobag i have, i ended up following the manufacturers advice to case it with verm as i really didnt want to break up such a nice BRICK of mycelium, i think the FAE it got after i cut the top half of the bag off helped alot, im hoping to put that in it's 'Humidity Tent' maybe weds, lets see:)
As always RR settles a newbies paranoid mind, thanks man!

PINNNNNS!!!!
I woke up this morning and all these suckers were on my cakes, are they contams, do i need shrooms growing?? (Joke!) - both cakes were put in the FC 7 days ago and i must admit i got worried, but yea, today is the day, cant wait till harvest:)
Here's my cakes, see if you can find all the pins, i count 14

Here's a pic of a rogue grass seed that go my tub somehow, i plucked it and put H2O2 around the area and replaced the perlite god knows how it got in there, the terrarium is upstairs and no windows are open...

Again, thanks shroomery! - ill be having B+ (which is the round cake) and Mazatapec which is the odd shaped one, this cake was colonized in a plastic tupperware tub...

Good job man! You're doing great. Nice FC. They look happy.
Thank you RR for posting the pic of cobweb. I'll be reposting that one, as the question keeps coming up.
