You should be able to join/recover files using either Quickpar (http://www.quickpar.org.uk/) or possibly 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) unless I'm totally misunderstanding the question.

well its just from a download of a iso that came in 2

it says to do this:
Dont forget it!
To join files must be use:

Linux Users *** CAT mi_archivo.part.* > mi_archivo.iso ***
Win2 Users *** TYPE mi_archivo.part.* > mi_archivo.iso ***

WTF does that mean

Oh.. assuming you are under Windows, go to start -> Run (or Search if you're in Vista) and enter:

cmd

It should open an MS DOS prompt window. From there enter:

cd C:\path\to\your\isos

Then enter:

type mi_archivo.part.* > mi_archivo.iso

The type command simply outputs the contents of all of the part files and merges/redirects it into a new file, mi_archivo.iso.

CAT mi_archivo.part.* > mi_archivo.iso

you actually type the '*'...that means 'all' of whatever as long as it has the mi_archivo.part prefix

peace

k thanks i figured out what was wrong.    nothing indicated to me that it was doing anything and would always come back with way to small of megabytes. i went to burn and it said it was a larger # of MB then when i had checked. turns out it keeps growing as the files moves. but there is no inication of this in the command window.  anyway thanks for yout time

peace
