Top pic looks like pins trying to form.  Not sure about the bottom 2, are the bottom 2 different cakes or the same cake as the top picture?

Did you happen to feel the texture of that little lump when you birthed it? Harder like a fruit body/mushroom? Fluffy? Any idea?  Just really looks like a pin that was smashed up against the jar before birthing, I woulda probably picked that off at that time.(atleast thats what it looks like to me.)

The site says stroma is the same thing as overlay, caused by too much co2 among other things.

We don't know as much about stroma as we will ten years from now.  However, it seems to be produced more often when the mycelium is under stress of some sort.  The good news for you is it has roughly the same levels of actives as mushroom fruits.

No.  More like a fruit without a normal cap or stem.  It's mushroom-like tissue, and definitely not sclerotia.
