small solar panels?

could these be "hardwired" to the little 4" computer fans you buy at the hardware store? id like to set a few of them in my greenhouse, and not do it with extension cords. they look sloppy, and waste money.
are the little panels expensive?

A link to one would help.
Solar panels output DC, and a small fan take DC so it would probably work.
You need to make sure the current you want draw with the fans is within the panels limit. You also need to match the voltage that the panels output too by wiring the fans in some combination of parallel and series. Do you know that kind of stuff (parallel vs series, ohms law etc.)?
If you find a link to one, put it up. Im sure there are expensive ones that come with fans and easy set up. You only want to power computer fans, that shouldnt take a big one, but a little ingenuity to wire up.

yeah, im lookin for them now.
i dont know any of this kind of stuff "Do you know that kind of stuff (parallel vs series, ohms law etc.)?"
and i may be lacking in the electrical ingenuity

Well its not too hard . If you find solar panels that output around twelve volts you should be good.
What is the amp and voltage requirements written on the fans? Probably around twelve volts and a fraction of an amp. With that knowledge and the output voltage and amps from the panel, people here can probably help you figure out how many to power and how to wire.
Post the numbers from the fans, and the panels.

ok, i dont have the fans in my possesion now. but theyre just the little circle fans with the square frames with a black and a red solid wire stripped at the end.
i wanted to wire them to ext. cords once, but the guy at the hardware store said this couldnt be done.
but id love to have a few of those lil babies blowin away in my greenhouse keeping air circulating as long as theres solar energy to be absorbed

You can use extension cords, you just need a transformer (also known as an AC adapter). An old used one would work if the voltage matches, or you can get one off of ebay cheap.
The voltages have to match, and the amps it puts out (either a transformer plugged onto a cord cord or a solar panels) will dictate how many fans it can power.
