This shows how elitist and seperate some of these folks are from the daily life of their constituents.

The car thing is probably justified though from his injury, I'd guess.

I remember when I chouldnt use one, in fact the people I work
for cant use a computer, a guy my mom worked for ran a multi
million dollar company and there wasnt a single computer in his
building, it was all paper. I wonder how proficient JFK and Abe
Lincoln were, do you think they used Macs or IBMs

Fine, lets move into modern times.  How many emails did Bill Clinton send while he was in office as President?  The correct answer is... two.

I wasn't making a value judgment about McCain or anything. I was just saying how absurd the text I quoted was. The president doesn't have to know how to use a computer. That's what staffers are for.

So he's admitted he can't use a computer and knows nothing about the economy.  He's taken money from a terrorist funder and a host of other unacceptable fund raising practices.

He said he wants the Iraq war to last another 100 years or more and that he would vote for the Iraq war again.

I bet he is still going to win though.  He is Diebold's candidate.

The HBO Special Hacking Democracy proves that Diebold machines can be hacked.

Do you want a company that leaves their source code unsecured on an Internet FTP server with no password, where a computer illiterate middle aged mother can stumble across and download it counting your votes in secret?  We need an open source voting solution that can be proven to be secure.

Here is testimony from a computer programmer explaining how he was solicited to commit voter fraud.

Here is evidence that people employed to program Diebold machines in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont have criminal backgrounds and defend the practice of swapping out memory cards during elections!

How does a charge of selling narcotics have anything to do with one's behavior on the workplace?

It's funny how (I would assume) believe drug use should not be a crime, yet at the same time, blast an employee of this company for being arrested for drugs.

Where is the die between arrest for distribution and the assumed voter fraud?

Also, there is nothing in that link that states that switching memory cards implies voter fraud or that it is not necessary to do during the course of an election.

Watch Hacking Democracy and you'll understand why switching memory cards is a problem.  The problems seen in the NH primaries is what makes this relevant.  Look into it.

These are just a few examples.  Do some research yourself.  People have been convicted of voter fraud in the past few years and there will be a problem as long as we are using proprietary systems.  We need an open source solution.

You made no mention of your prior claim of the employee being a convicted criminal. why is that relevant if the charge that was brought against him had nothing to do with voter fraud?

Also, neither of those links have anything to do with voting machines. They are instances of good 'ol fashion bribery and hand counting. No type of voting system will ever eliminate that.

YES, AN OPEN SOURCE VOTING SYSTEM WILL PREVENT VOTE FRAUD.  You can have mathematical check-sums and open procedures that can be verified to ensure vote integrity.  Plus hand ballots can be randomly sampled to accurately determine vote fraud!

That would be an amazing system to eliminate bribery. Hot happening.

Again, you ignore the rebuttal to you claim about the irrelevance of a criminal record while being an employee of a voting records company.

While it has been quite fashionable to blame retards who can't use a butterfly ballot in Florida for Bush's win in 2000, what is largely forgotten is that the Chicago corpse constituency was equally important for Kennedy's win in 1960.  Surprisingly, dead people seem to have overwhelmingly voted Democrat.  Dead Democrats and stupid Democrats seem to be quite influential.

Chicago?  Hmmmm.  What politician from Chicago is running for election this year?

Dude, you're harping on a straw man argument that I never made, even after I explained that the article is relevant because of the practice of swapping out memory cards.

I've explained twice now why that article is relevant.  The guy defends the practice of switching memory cards and several counties in NH admitted to having wrong tallies.  Interestingly enough you've taken my quote out of context and excluded the part that is most relevant.

Meanwhile you're completely ignoring all the other evidence I've shown relating to rigged elections, going back to the strawman issue you created.  I never claimed that his criminal background PROVES he helped rig elections.  I mentioned his criminal record because it is a fact and criminality is generally seen to make a person less credible.

If you don't see it that way, fine, but don't ignore the real issues of swapping memory cards, software that is completely insecure (you can find info on their insecure hardware too), and elections that have been proven to be rigged, only to focus on one detail that proves nothing.  That is the definition of the strawman tactic.

I don't know what this guy did to get busted for selling drugs.  Maybe he sold a dime bag of weed, maybe he was running a huge distribution ring.  Maybe he was a passafist, maybe he had people killed without a second though.  I don't know.  I mentioned it simply because it was mentioned in a relevant article.  To assume his criminal background means nothing is as nieve as assuming it proves something.  I did neither.
