Ideal incubation temp?

What would the ideal temperature for an incubator be? Or better yet, is 92 degrees to warm for incubation of my colonizing birdseed?

92 degrees is detrimental. 80 max. Room temp is preferred nowadays.

I would like to know the highest possible temp to support the fastest colonization.

I would say 80, because the bags generate their own heat. Like I said, you just increase the risk of contams during incubation, for a day or two faster colonization time.

If you don't like what we are telling you, the seach function has about 50 million answers for this question.

I wouldn't even bother making an incubator. If the temp gets past low-mid 80s it might slow down colonization. Above 86 can stall or kill myc. The mycellium generates heat as it grows, so the jar can be my incubator.

as long as your houses temp doesn't drop below 70, just incubate at room temp. Higher temps slow down growth and promote contaminant growth.

you should try to keep it at a constant temperature, whatever that may be, degree fluctuations could stress the myc

86 degrees is optimal, anymore inhibits colonization. you can get away with lower with minimal inhibition of colonization

ugh, 8s deg is NOT optimal. Your core temps in your substrate jar are 2-4 degrees warmer then ambient temps. 86 would put your jars inner temps close to the 90's which promotes anaerobic activity.

no they wont. The worse that could happen is having your jars be too cool and stall.

86 degrees is ok? I mean in my early experiments with shroom cultivation I remember vaguely that my PF cakes were colonizing at record speeds at mid 80s temp.

no, read my above post, 86 degrees is way too warm.

86 is too HIGH. Your bags will generate their own heat, as previously mentioned 2X in this thread. Don't incubate. If you insist on it, do NOT go above 80, MAX.

i only base that on my own results, with a constant temp i can get 8 day colonization, ive had unprotected jars from the same batch take twice as long

ok, that's different then If you would have said MS i was prepared to call you a liar lol.
8 day colonization with LC is pretty normal IMO. Slight temperature fluctuations will not harm your grow. However, dropping down below 70 will slow, if not stall, your growth.
