Preserving San Pedro Soup

Soup/Tea made from the San Pedo cactus was put in the refridgerator after cooking, and after 3 days, was then put into the freezer. How long should this keep for?

Frozen, it should last indefinately. Three days in the fridge shouldnt have been long enough for it to degrade, so its probably fine. Generally though, if you dont plan to use a liquid San Pedro within 2 days of making it, you should freeze it.

Couldn't you just make an alcohol extraction, evap. the alc. off, and then scrape that shit into gel caps? Seems like you wouldn't have eat near as much...would this work? I wanna make some too, but I really don't like the idea of a cacti slurry....yech...

I did extractions to get a large quantity of known potency mescaline goo powder.
I had very happy results.
I won't get into the arguements of how to extract.
I did the same with mushrooms.

Depends... if your alcohol is methanol, itd probably work well. If you used ethanol, you wouldnt have a very useful extract.

What is an easy way to get methanol?
I want to buy it in a store, not have it shipped.
Do you use straight methanol or should it be acidified?

You could get methanol or acetone from the hardware store, it's nearly pure, just check though to be sure it leaves no residues.

Does it work well for extracting mescaline?
Just use straight acetone?
