can u use a setup like this to dry?

If i have a set up like this could it dry out my shrooms as welll as the damp rid and bowl set up. I will explain the picture.

green=the lid
black=damrid filter where the damp rid crystals go in the canister that it comes with
brown circles with stem= no brainer
blue=no brainer

HELP ME Will this work

Yes. That's a basic finishing chamber. Fan dry for 1-2 days first though.
Also, Damp-Rid is a waste of money. Buy your calcium chloride in bulk.

where do you get yours in bulk? with pre-drying, it's gunna be a while before i run out, but when it happens...

Simplest is to buy a bag of "Ice-Melt".

In the winter it's pretty much everywhere, in the summer, get it from an ice cream making supply store.  It's a common replacement for rock salt used to melt ice to freeze ice cream.

Even better, buy kitty litter made of pure silica gel instead.  It works better and doesnt turn to liquid.

Best is "Indicator Drierite" a blue colored anhydrous calcium chloride that turns pink when saturated and can be re-charged back to blue when baked at 425F for an hour.  $21.95 a quart at www.mycosupply.com and lasts YEARS! :grin:
