different strains/different results...so far

well, its been about a week since i birthed my cakes(after a coldshock/dunk for 12 hrs) I did two strains, mazatapec and treasure coast, and i noticed something with my cakes and im wondering if its the norm, or if it has to do with the conditions.....

three days after i put my cakes in the growing chamber, my cakes of mazatapec exploded with pins, while my treasure coast waited until today.....but man, there are WAY more on these cakes than that of the mazatapecs which are now about 3/4 to 1 inch now.
my question is this.... do certian strains grow faster than the others? (like my maz seem to be doing) and do some grow in more abundance(like my TC seem to be doing? or could this just be a coincidence due to factors such as substrate nutient levels, moisture levels, colonization times etc? they all pretty much were at 100% at the same time, give or take a day or 2. they were all filled with the same amount of substrate from the same mixture. just curious.....every little thing these guys do make me wonder......

maybe this was a really stupid question, seeing how im not even getting any READ THE FAQ responces......? lol any way, it was just a thought.....i mean, the two different strains sure "seem" to be growing differently...... :smirk:

hehe
yea, every strain is slightly different -- they all have different optimum colonization/fruiting temps...so if youre treating them both the same, there will be slight deviations from the behavior of the other...
