health food stores sell them by the lb usually. look in the bulk foods section.

Whole foods has 30ish pound bags.. it wouldn't fit on the cashier scale and they undercharged me by about pounds- even though I practically insisted on paying the 'correct' amount.
They have rye in the bulk aisle, or ask one of the guy for a big bag.
wtf do you guys score PC's for $10??: I've never seen a PC in a pawnshop, much less a AA.... the one I see in thrift stores are ugly avocado green 6 QT'ers... luckey fvckers!!!
btw- wally world has a passable entry level PC that will do 2 qt's at a time for $30ish... 'Fagor' brand IIRC.
or $80. online for a respectable larger model Presto brand.
link in my sig if you wanna do straw.
ETA: the grain prep segment is worth the price of the videos alone!!!
outstanding job RR.

quick question,
I am currently incubating my BRF Jars and the temp is in the low to mid eighties and the humidity is in the high 70's in my apartment. The jars are in a non see-through Sterlite container so I assume the temp for mycelial growth is fine.
However, I am concerned about when I get to the fruiting stage. How should I go about regulating the temperature down the the high seventies? I assume that it will be in the eighties or so here and the fruit bodies grow optimally in the mid seventies.

don't hijack peoples threads for your own questions.
use the search engine this has been answered before.
you don't have to drop the temperatures for them to fruit. its ideal but if you cant, you cant. if it's important to you that you do, be creative. ice packs around the chamber work if you don't mind switching them out for fresh ones twice a day.
