First time grower, looking for advice on large crop

Hi there, new to both this board and to growing . If this post is inappropriate to this board, I will be more than happy to change or rephrase my questions.
Im currently looking to start growing mushrooms, and was hoping to go for a large supply at a time per crop. Having never done this before, I was looking to start by getting a kit of sorts to use as a guiding hand to start, and also to facilitate large grow amounts. Should I make my own equipment, or are there places online to get large yield kits (I know the rules state not to post about such things on the boards, so if you have a place in mind, send me a PM).
From what I can see, this board has a wealth of information, but Im still hesitant to make my own equipment to use, and would be willing to spend extra money to ensure both higher yield and more reliable crops. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you all

I hear what you're saying, but I think most people here will still advise you to make your own fruiting chamber. It's simple and effective. Just don't get carried away on your first grow. You want to start with bulk substrate spawns? ~Pixie~

That's just the thing: I have about $750 saved up for this "project" and I don't quite know what I want to do to start. I'm sure that's probably way more than enough to homemake what I need, but I just want to make sure I do it right, and in large amounts.

If you've never done this before you would probably do yourself a serious favor my being careful to invest an appropriate amount, (i.e don't spent 10K on a lot of equipment when you could set up something for ~100).
If you need MONEY, and fast, this isn't the way to go. If you have the patience to learn what you are doing, then do that. By reading. Reading a lot. And then experimenting with small setups to determine your strengths and weaknesses.
You NEED patience, otherwise you will likely be fucked. Best of luck!

Don't buy kits. If you have plenty of time, I suggest doing PFTEK for your first grow, so to get the hang of it. Then use grains spawned to a bulk substrate.

Actually, no. I can just never find them available in the part of the world where I live, and my other supply kinda went to the insane asylum.

Exactly what I was looking for.
Any other suggestions?

I agree, if you dont live in USA it can be quite damn difficult and time consuming to get all the item requirements for an elaborate grow. Saying that, even by buying a grow kit of some kind you will still find it hard to find other items.. Acutally now that I think about it the grow chambers/incubators/etc. would be easier to get than any other materials like substrate mix, casing mix, pH buffers, pressure cookers, etc.

going straight to "Hydr0420's Simple Invitro" poo bags is quite possible, using PFtek jars as spawn. 30 or 40 of these bags would produce exactly what you are looking for.
So follow the PFTEK to make your "spawn" jars then follow THIS for your bulk method, using the pftek jars in place of his grain jars, (spawn is spawn).
PM me guy for any guidance
Costs for what you will need:
(per USA and my area dunno about yours)
23qt Pressure cooker $90.00USD 2 Cases of widemouth 1/2 pint jars $16.ooUSD incubator: 2 tubs at $20uSD, 1 fishtank heater $18USD 4 cubic yards of medium fine vermiculite $35USD 5LBS of Organice Rye Flour (I replace Brown Rice Flour with this it's better) $10USD 100 Filterpatch bags ordered (unicorn bags) $40USD Roll of 3m packing tape $4USD
Substrate do you buy it? make it?
if anything, invitro coirbags also work.. coir is 5 dollars a block, it takes 12 blocks to make 50 invitro bags (i know i've done it)
Compost can be ordered at various prices
Since you're new i assume that you don't pasteurize your own susbtrates that you collect, so I'd suggest coir.
and that's it, besides sterile gloves, peroxide, alcohol, etc, just general lab stuff.
so out of 750 BUX? you spend : $233USD (pre susbtrate costs)
So, figure out what substrate you want to use, I suggest coconut fiber (coir) as it's very cheap and gives great bulk results. Especially with additives like cofee grounds, Karo syrup, Malt extract, calcium carb, eggshell, etc.
hope that gave some good info.

Once again, I'm not intending on selling anything. Infact, according to a 2005 court of appeals ruling, growing where I live (Albuquerque) for personal consumption (What i'm looking to do) is legal.
But anyway thanks to everyone for the advice.
