The only issue I've had with tripping on acid for a long period of time in a single seat is that my knees/joints tensed up and hurt badly after I finally stood up. I did a hit of acid and went to see a screening of Fear and Loathing at a cult theater, but there was about 90 mins of commentaries/Hunter S. Thompson home movies from friends, and the movie finally began. By the time I got to get up, i had been tripping for about four hours and yea, I was sore. But it was fun!!!
I recommend just a hit, any more and you'll probably regret it.

it does help with the ears, and lights both in the plane and outside are beautiful;
but you have no control over setting.
your seat can be changed by airline management circumstances as well. you may have an emergency exit beside you and may be unable to tell that this is not an emergency.
also you have no control over who sits near you, if they are ugly or if they snore or smell or talk in an irritating way or how the weather is.
everyone is too close together and physical comfort is low.
de-planing is never good, and turbulence can be very disconcerting.
however, if you are ok with these things (a good tripper probably can ride these problems with little difficulty) then I highly reccommend this use of the medicine.
it is definitely not a good choice for a novice.
you have to have developed dignified personal habits for uncomfortable situations,
they will be called upon in your inebrieted state;
or else the drug may unleash very bad behavior from you leading to legal problems.
just don't carry anything;
and if you do not have a lot of experience in public places while under the influence, this is the worst place to test yourself.

if your taking an overnight flight i wouldnt imagine the plane would be that crowded?? or am i naive? i havent flown on a plane since before 9/11 so i dont know how crowded and shit all the flights are...overnight flights that is..

I've also done this and think it is a horrible idea. I didn't do this on purpose, I ate some acid at 9 pm and and was still tripping balls for my flight at 5:45. It gets especially interesting when the airport security is speaking in tongues to you or when shit gets intense you people start watching what you are doing. I like to save my mind altering life changing experiences in comfortable settings , flying is a hassle to say the least.
