Secrets of dense growth for shiitake ?

Here is a pic posted some time ago by blue helix . I'd just send him a message but he hasn't been seen in over a month. Notice how dense the growth is. I'm not quite sure but it kinda looks like he is growing them on trays. Any tips to get growth like this ?





Edit: Also wondering if dense growth is always the best thing. Will the mushrooms be smaller if the growth is denser ?

Thoes are cubies. I think edibles are spaces more and do not fruit in full canopys like that

What confused me is one of the pics he posted that used to be there is gone , so it thru the order off on the pics where he said what was what.
