Where would one go to find 'Millet' and what is it? A friend thinks its for making bread, but he's not sure. Any help is appreciated.

Millet is finch seed. Its the little seed, not the sun flower seeds in bird seed. You can get finch seed from wal-mart. bluhoney

There are 2 types of millet -- red & white. Millet is primarily what store bought wild bird seed consists of. You can find it @ pet & feed stores.

Petco & PetSmart have a 45 pound bag of wild bird seed for around $8.

It is a good spawn material. Soak overnight, rinse, drain (well), load jars w/filter disks 3/4 full, PC & innoc or do gtg transfers.

Get some pennington's finch seed from walmart. It works great and has very little whole sunflower seeds.

I buy wil bird seed that comes with a combination of white millet, red millet and rye grains.
So it seems to be a very good combo of grains.
