Whether it be chillout-trance or classical, recommend some chill music for my first mushroom trip. Classical music is preferred (I find the more natural tones of violins and pianos soothing). Any help is appreciated.

Grateful Dead shows are always great. I really dig 1973 shows for that really mellow, far out, totally...cosmic vibe man. Wow! those guys are so great.

Pink Floyd's "Welcome To The Remix" cd is fucking dank. It's all trance remixes of Pink Floyd. There's a 22 minute "Welcome To Machine" remix on there. Fucking EPIC

A few of my favorites =]
1200 Micrograms Shpongle Steve Roach Biosphere Robert Rich Boards of Canada Juno Reactor Infected Mushroom Deep Forest Mira Calix Younger Brother Entheogenic Shulman Ott DJ Mark Farina - Mushroom Jazz (CD 1-5) Ooze - Where the Fields Never End (Album) Thievery Corporation Sigur Ros Incubus Pink Floyd Aphex Twin Tangerine Dream - Phaedra (Album) Orbital Loom (free download at http://www.fruits-of-loom.com/) Ray Lynch Jean-Michel Jarre Bjork Rusted Root
I also suggest the following, which are a bit more classical in nature:
The Books - The Lemon of Pink (Album) Medeski Martin Wood - End of the World Party (Album) Vangelis Soundtrack - Solaris Soundtrack - The Fifth Element Soundtrack - Donnie Darko Soundtrack - Waking Life
YouTube can be a great place for exploring new music as it's fast, easy enough to search, and has a shitload of content. At some point, try using the music along with a visualization plugin such as G-force. The combination can act as a great catalyst for CEVs and OEVs.

The Disco Biscuits wasn't mentioned yet, and they seem pretty good from what I've heard.
